I must be overlooking the obvious, but I can not create a user that can ftp to the main web dir for mydomain.com only mydomain.com/~webuser. How can I create a user name and pass word that will FTP directly to the main http dir for a domain?

thank you for your help!

Found the answer , simple maybe, but being new to Plesk from Cobalt, it wasnt obvious to me. So in case this is someone else's first day with a Plesk and the manual didnt help...

the ftp user under Domains|Hosting . then next to screen 2 FTP User is the one that publishes the top level mydomain.com/index.html

Set up FTP to "mydomain.com" and starting directory as "httpdocs".

The domain is already set up?

In the control panel go into the domain in question and choose the Setup icon. Make suer that it has FTP set up.
