Hi,

Just a gerneral question but what program do you all use to telnet / ssh into your server. I have used a few different programs inc microsofts built in but I can't find one with all the features I need.

Putty is a nice one.
Get it here: http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/

and turn off Telnet and never use it again.

I have had a quick go with it but it looks really good. here my next questions. i now you can buy books to learn lunix but is there any good training stuff on the internet to do with red hat and telnet and all that sort of stuff....

Probably more then you can handle.
Start with searching (or learn how to use the search feature) in this forum, many questions you might have most likely have been answered some time ago.
Then other search engines like google are your friend.
