Hello!

First time customer of the planet. I've got a Centos 5 64 bit server but just found out that it came with a lot of extra packages and i don't want/need. I guess i needed to specify i wanted a bare bone install but we are late for that, huh?

Anyway, what can i uninstall/disable without breaking smth?

The packages i've already uninstalled are:

- procmail
- cvs
- subversion
- mysql
- httpd
- samba
- vnc
- php-cli
- php-common

All with their dependencies. I've also disabled ipmi and ipalert.

Is this ok? Can i continue removing things without breaking smth?

I want to remove/disable as much as possible because our software have been tested with a bare bone centos install and i don't want to spot any conflicts.

Thanks!

You can remove pretty much anything you want, long as nothing else is directly dependent on it. I'm thinking it will give you warning if so though.
