Don't ever use theplanet for domain name hosting! I spent an entire month and ended up losing the domain name. It was 100% theplanet's fault and I have all tickets backed up to prove it! This is the last straw!

Signed a soon to be ex-planet customer!

Can you PM or post the domain name in question so I can look further into this?

I've tracked your account down and the tickets that I've found don't indicate what, if any, assistance you needed. Many of them seem to have pastes of domain information, but few details regarding if there were any problems.

I see your domain had expired in June of 2009, were you needing assistance with renewing it?

Renewing it? I've had this domain since 01-jun-2005 and it wasn't renewed this year, why! I caught it on 7/25/2009 and have tried to get it renewed since then!

Are you serious with that statement?
The reply to the first ticket was "I am sending this ticket to our domains department for further assistance."

Ticket Title = How do I pay for this?
Inside the ticket notes was info on the domain name and that the Registrar was THE PLANET INTERNET SERVICES, INC with Creation & Expiration Date

"How do I pay for this?" is a bit ambiguous, however, I believe that a technician should have asked for clarification when they were unable to discern what you needed. Because of this, the issue has been escalated to our support managers to ensure that this doesn't happen again.

I do apologize for the inconvenience and if I could help you out, I definitely would, but at this point the domain is out of our control. You may be able to talk to the person who registered it.

On 7/25 was the domain in redemption period or had it already been released and registered by someone else at that point?

Assuming that the whois output that jjf1990 posted in the ticket was queried from the whois servers on the same day, then it was still in the redemption period. We had time to help out, we just didn't understand what the request was.

I'm assuming the domain name in question was in the ticket but removed for the forum post - is that correct jjf1990?

And what was the response from tech support and your response?

How do you pay for what? In the post there is nothing that can be 'paid for'...
