This is not a server backup related question.
Just want to see if anyone has worked out something similar.
I am currently using LogMeIn backup to keep backup's of personal and company data for myself and others.
I like LMIB because it allows for a self owned storage PC meaning I am in control of where the encrypted data is stored.
My issue is, LMIB doesn't support MAC OS. I don't really know much about MAC's because I don't own one but I know enough to be dangerous.
Does anyone know of a similar service that offers the same type of features as LMIB?
I know online storage sites exist but I just don't get that trustworthy feeling.
Why does this matter, you say? Well because most online backup services store your data for you; somewhere.
I don't like that because I don't know how secure their network is and how they "truely" store my data.
What happens if I cannot restore the data when needed because they had a failure and didn't share that bit of info with me? Some offer "unlimited" all for around $5.00 a month I might add and I don't really know how that is possible.
I've done a bit of searching but cannot find anything as good as LMIB.
To recap, I want encrypted backup client software to backup using encryption to storage servers that I own across a WAN. Oh yea, and VPN tunnels aren't an option.
Thx in advanced.
