Anyone else having trouble reaching authorize.net? Looks like the site is down.

If you are the owner of the server put in a ticket as its early morning still and no staff are on the forums but will be on the help desk.

If your not the owner, there is nothing The Planet can do. Contact your provider.

This isn't a server issue -- this is a general issue with a major credit card gateway.

Looks like it could be bad, especially if authorize.net short staffs for the US holiday.

Its an issue the owners of the server will have to sort out though with TP. TP has a hands off approach and only steps in if the owner of the server asks them to.

That DC they are in is very down. There are a lot of similarities to the H1 incident actually. Transformer blew taking out the main power room, taking out equipment. Generators and UPS were fine but the damage to the switching equipment meant that even though the generators were fine they could not be used. UPS kept servers online for a while ~an hour i read, but the cooling was down meaning things got verrry hot too.

Maybe TP should call them and offer some insight in getting things back up in a timely manner.

Clearly this is a SPoF in the design of DC's. 2 within just over a year? hmmm

Moved this thread to "The Lounge" since it isn't related to any of The Planet's servers or services. datona posted a link about the outage here, but it looks like Martyn is even more on top of it. icon_smile.gif
