Full Version: did my order go through?
The Planet Forums > General > Pre-Sales Questions

I've had a live support chat window open for a few minutes to ask this question, so far it only says:

"Thank you for choosing The Planet, please stand by while we connect you to the next available agent…" (yes, noscript had everything on the chat window 100% enabled)

Can I have someone check and see if my SSL purchase went through? The page I got after entering my cc# was just this:
https://ssl.theplanet.com/images/ssl.jpg

a back button & the planet header.

i had noscript enabled on firefox and it was blocking something from ev1.. my bad.. blush.gif

What non-personally identifiable info can I post here that would enable you guys to check if I missed a confirmation page or not?
jpl
went back on the planet site and clicked that orange hover box and got somebody.

the other link i clicked (to get sales/support) was right on the webpage html and took me to the same window! icon_confused.gif

edit: i give up on these chat windows. it took about 6 minutes since "Aamir Abdullah" acknowledged my question and only gave the response along the lines "I am reviewing your request. Your chat is important to us. "etc etc etc...

i imagine it doesn't take this long to lookup that info. do these chat agents play videogames while doing support?

somebody help? all i want to know is if it went through! if not, i will try again!

Keep an eye out for Kevin (or a few others) tomorrow when he wakes up (he recently informed us he actually sleeps).

He tends to get things taken care of. This sounds like a few website issues need to be resolved.

Hello,

I was able to find your Orbit account from the chat transcript, although I don't see record of an SSL order linked.

I'm assuming you were ordering from the website via http://www.theplanet.com/ssl-certificates ? (If you have an account, I would generally recommend ordering certificates from inside Orbit, as they will remain attached to your account, and tech support has more visability to help with any issues.)

That said, I can lookup the information. As a start, can you open a ticket with the email address and certificate hostname you used on the order? (Just ask that the ticket be assigned to me, and I'll watch for it -- this way ongoing communication can be secure if we need more detail.)

I will also follow up with the chat issue. Thanks, and sorry for the trouble!

You should receive a confirmation email anytime you order something...

yes i know, but i haven't tried to re-order as i'm hoping for confirmation on the rapidssl not appearing in the purchase options

StarterSSL is another name for RapidSSL. Exact same product.

(I'm checking in with the developers for both Orbit 1 and 2 to rename this link. Thanks!)
