Full Version: Urchin 5 for RHEL5?
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > Urchin

Hi,

I gotten the license key and the download link from theplanet support guys. However, the Urchin download is version 5 and only RHEL3 is available.

My box is RHEL5. Does the Urchin 5 RHEL3 version work for me?

Has anyone tried to install this version onto their RHEL5 box?

Not a huge fan of urchin personally (from a sysadmin perspective) but the webmasters love it.

I am not sure I have tried to set up on RH5 but I do have a RH4.7 that is rocking on strong with urchin. I don't think it is supported but you can probably get it working.

Thanks for the reply.

I have gotten a ticket update from the support guys at TP. I was told to do the following before installation:

echo "true"> inspector

What does it do?

It is just adding true into the inspector file. If I had to guess it is some sort of an internal check that it forces the installer to skip.
