So, I have a question.

I know there is a very thin line between customer privacy and securing networks and I know The Planet cannot look at data, but I sure hope everything is protected enough to prevent law enforcement from walking in and talking more servers than they need. They have the right, yes, but not everyone should lose their servers.
My point being, for example, my servers are clean but maybe a neighbor server has illegal content.
I would hate to lose my server just because I was "close by."

Just something I am wondering as I read about Core IP and those affected who have no relation to what might have initiated the seizure. Granted it's really about the company itself.

Edit: Removed some unimportant rambling.
Jeff
I just caught a little bit of the story of Core IP being raided and customers complaining about their innocent servers being taken part and parcel with everything else. If law enforcement takes such an action and is wrong, will Core be able to get damages for the loss?

We have procedures in place and have worked with the authorities in the past without such an incident.

Thanks for the info Tomy.

Jeff, not that anyone knows the absolute correct answer, but I think the result of the investigation was of the company itself and some customers were just caught in the crossfire.

The Planet is a very large provider so any investigations would be controlled; such as what Tomy said.

Yeah the issue with coreip, at least from what is being said, is that they were the ones under investigation. Since that was the case they had no idea what was or was not their own so the confiscated it all.
