I have been going around and around with Modernbill Support over the last few days. I paid for the installation of Modernbill v5 on Windows 2003 months ago. Got the installation done and things seemed to work well until we started adding clients, registering domains, and ordering SSL certs. The automation software was not talking to Plesk, eNom, etc. Bummer. We have waisted huges amounts of time on this. Modernbill support tells us that they do not support Modernbill running on Windows 2003. They suggested that I find a server administrator....I was flabergasted. They informed me that Modernbill was designed to run on Linux..."oh yes it runs on Windows but we don't have anyone here who knows how to configure it on Windows"...Sean are you listening? After our own troubleshooting zeroed in on the cron problem they initially indicated that they would be glad to help. Gave Modernbill Support admin level access to the server to what they needed to do. Many many helpdesk tickets later cron does not work and they now tell us that "that's the best we can do." Stunning.
Dones anyone have Modernbill installed and running correctly on Windows 2003 server? My need is very specific. I need to see an example of how to configure RunEvents in Windows 2003 Control Panel--->Scheduled Tasks. Just that simple. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Digging this up because MODERNBILL, has totally closed theri support to everyone unless you fork over $75.00 per incident, thier software never really worked at all anyhow.
I'm helping people migrate to WHMCS "I use this myself and it's superb"
