Hi,
Some time ago, I tried to contact the guys at ServerCommand because as of 13th January 2009, the MRTG page relating to the router that my server runs through - ie. bandwidth monitoring - is completely hosed.
I have had no reply at all and the problem still exists.
I have not created a trouble ticket, because I can't see how it has anything to do with my server, and so I'm not giving up my passwords, reinstating password based logins etc for a fishing trip. I will admit to having rebooted the server as this was just after there were some RHEL3 updates (rare indeed) including the kernel, but how that would break a remote monitoring system I don't know.
If the router is running at all (which it must be, as my server is visible from the net) then it can't be a problem with my server.
All this means is that my ServerCommand based MRTG page is a few empty graphs with each value listed as -1.#IO
Also there is no bandwidth history after the stated date, and my current bandwidth usage for February as stated on my ServerCommand page is 0, or .00% of my allowance !
Here's the offending MRTG page.
http://bandwidth.ev1servers.net/RSbw6.cgi?...6.98.138.248_13
Any ideas how to proceed ?
BTW, MRTG runs fine locally on my server, but that doesn't update the bandwidth monitor which I presume I get charged by.
Yes I realise that it's an old system, but bearing in mind that due to exchange rates my monthly rental has nearly doubled in the last few months, it would be nice to be acknowledged before I lose faith altogether and relocate all my sites to a more local colo provider. At the moment it seems like my server is being deliberately allowed to wither on the vine, and who knows when I will lose connectivity altogether.
