Installation:

Download, decompress, upload to a php enabled server, upload everything to a new folder just to make sure...

Edit config.php

put your orbit api username, password, hardware id ( if you don't know it don't worry) and your ip address...

if you don't know your hardware id, write your ip adress in config.php and visit hwtype.php there you should see a 5 digit code, that's your hardware id, go back to config.php and write that digit where it's supposed to.

That's it..!!

Visit now index.php and see your bandwidth graphics..!!!

Thanks to the planet staff and the guys at php freenode irc channel.

I encourage you to work upon this and make it better.

This link and source code is not working.
I am getting the same error when I try to use the API and code examples.

It appears that the API is broken since the only working example, doesn't work.

Is there a working example of the bandwidth graphs? any one able to provide a link?

Even the "Hello Planet" test fails with the same error as the example in this thread.

Warning: SoapClient::SoapClient(https://api.theplanet.com/Svc/ConnectivityService.svc?WSDL) [soapclient.soapclient]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1

We were having a production issue with the servers that host the API application. The issue has been resolved and everything should be working as expected now.

Hello,

First I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this error may have caused you. The web servers which host the API were recently upgraded. During the upgrade one of the configuration settings was missed and caused the problem that you were experiencing.

The settings were applied yesterday and tests were run to validate that the API is functional.

Thank you,

Now I am getting Access Denied msgs.
I am using my orbit login info.

Does someone have to enable my account?
The Ticket system refers all support to this forum.

I get Access Denied on the HelloPlanet test as well.

This "working example" http://secure.avantvision.net/portlet/api/test/ is getting an error.
My code used to work also.
Now 3 out of 4 servers are not generating graphs.

Many (but not all) of my server bandwidth graphs are reporting the same error as the example URL:
An error occurred while processing your request for bandwidth. Please try again later.
