Full Version: php upgrade=Can't find server or DNS error, FATAL: emalloc errors in logs, w/phpMyAdm
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > Plesk
nat
A regular install of phpMyAdmin in the web space of a domain returns a DNS error on the web page and logs these in the apache access_log:

FATAL: emalloc(): Unable to allocate -346168 bytes
FATAL: emalloc(): Unable to allocate -346168 bytes

It works fine under PHP 4.1.2.

If this common php script gets errors then maybe there will be errors in other common php scripts, so I guess I can't use 4.2.2 on a production server until I find out why this happens.

I also try to install new and old versions of phpMyAdmin but none of them work when using anything over php 4.1.2.

Other people have reported the same problems with Webmail. My webmail still works after upgrading php though.

Plesk 2.5.3 Standard Build / RedHat 7.2 020621.20

Here's my PHP Version 4.2.2 Configure Commands:
'./configure' '--with-apxs=/usr/local/psa/apache/bin/apxs' '--prefix=/usr/local/psa/apache' '--with-system-regex' '--with-config-file-path=/usr/local/psa/apache/conf' '--disable-debug' '--disable-pear' '--enable-sockets' '--enable-track-vars' '--with-gd' '--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/lib' '--with-png-dir=/usr/lib' '--with-zlib-dir=/usr/include' '--with-mysql=/usr/local/psa/mysql' '--with-iodbc=/usr/lib' '--with-db3=/usr/include/db3' '--with-gdbm=/usr/include/gdbm' '--enable-magic-quotes' '--enable-safe-mode' '--enable-ftp' '--enable-wddx' '--with-gettext' '--with-gmp' '--with-mcrypt=/usr/local/lib' '--with-imap=/usr/local/src/imap-2002.RC2'

Any Ideas?

ps: The phpMyAdmin that is integrated into the plesk control panel always works fine.
