How long do you guys normally wait for a server from ThePlanet? I have been waiting just about 6 days now. Maybe this is normal since I haven't bought a server in a long time but to me it seems a little long of a wait. Apparently they are waiting on two hard drives to come in. Now personally I could get Newegg to ship me two new hard drives in about 2 days. I just guess I don't know how the datacenter world works and maybe I'm just not patient enough.

Any input would be great from anyone.

Thanks

Hi tm1000,

That's certainly an atypical wait time, and I'm glad you let us know about it. I escalated your ticket to a provisioning manager and asked him to make sure it was addressed as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, please let me know... My email is khazard (at) theplanet.com

Wow that was a quick response. How did you find my ticket without me giving the number, account number or account name to you?

Either way I emailed you directly asking the same question. Please respond asap.

Thanks.

The way I track down tickets quickly is by using the IP you post from to pull up all accounts accessed by that IP. Then review the open tickets.

I wrote a little greasemonkey script a while back to put a link on the forum pages for me.

Kevin replied over email the same response you did. It's great that you guys work so hard on all of this! I can't even imagine Kevin getting paid hourly as he is always online somehow. Same with most of your Planet forum guys. I hope they at least pay you well.

Anyways my ticket for hardware closed 15 minutes ago. I hope that's a good thing.
