I am attempting to write a dictionary attack on an encrypted file, whether it be a zip file w/a password in a Windows system or any other type of encrypted file. I was planning on using the MD5 module in Python but if there is a better way please let me know. I was wondering if anyone would be able to quickly write one for me or show me something such as guidelines to quickly do this. I am not attempting to use this in any negative way, just more of a side project for myself and my schooling in cyber security. If you would write one and send me the information and how to run it and what file type it is set to attack, that would be great, or just a simple link to guidelines to give me direction would be nice too. Thanks for your help, please email or contact me if you have any more questions.
