How do I share a windows folder on my dedicated server? I would like to map this folder on my local machine.

I tried setting up a share on the server and clicking start/run and entering \\ip-address-here but it can't connect?

The Planet told me this was possible before I purchased but I can't figure it out...

Well first thing...why not setup a FTP instead of a share? Would be a lot more secure.

After you setup the share on the server, and your on your local PC make sure you have:

\\IP HERE\SHARE NAME

I assume you did that, but in your post above, you only showed: \\IP HERE

and did not include the share name.

If that doesnt work, the next thing to check will be your firewall settings...most firewalls will block network sharing like that unless otherwise specified.
