Is there a reason that CentOS is the default OS now instead of RedHat Enterprise? I have no issues going with CentOS as it's basically the same but is there a specific reason why it's now the default when redhat is free?

Thakns
RHEL is free with certain packages, not for everything. Free is usually the attractive choice, so it's default.

So I guess I should stick to RedHat if it comes at no charge with my package?
Kinda like yum on CentOS.

For the most part, RHEL and CentOS are very similar. The plus with RHEL is RHN and up2date(although CentOS can use up2date as well) and some other features.
Your marketing organization will like to go with RHEL as a lot of people consider it to be better.

Any issues I should think about when going with a 64bit setup for a dedicated MySQL box? It will be starting with 4GB of ram, and perhaps upgraded in the future, so I'm a little concert about going with 32bit.
Thanks
