So a server can go down, and ill work out the best way to get it back up very quick, or someone wants a script optimized, easy... but have me write a script to randomly make massive multiple gig files and spam them at other servers on your rack... no chance.

Well, i did it, but it took me longer than it should have... seems im not good at hurting servers, just helping them.

Probably not someone many people will have come in contact with, or will come in contact with given the area he works in, but if you do, your in very capable hands. Big 2 thumbs up to him from me, and a public thanks to him for the assistance hes given me over the course of the day identifying an issue with our VPRs bandwidth monitor issues. I'm not sure what you were saying in the first paragraph or so, but your post has been circulated around the office to make sure he is as embarrassed as possible.

To test something, i decided to flood our servers with traffic to best test it.

Problem was, im not used to doing that kind of thing and it took me a while to work it out.

Have you never had to do something which pretty much goes against your job description? haha

Thinking like a criminal always helps out. Everyone should have a greyhat on speed dial to pen test their servers and networks.
