I seem to be getting DDoSed a lot lately and I'm looking for recommendations on hardware that I could buy to help prevent (well maybe thats not possible) or try and at least "cope" with this.

Generally, mitigating DDoS attacks requires a lot of bandwidth or cooperation with the upstream providers. In the end, it's usually easier to find out the cause of the DDoS attack and try to eliminate it rather than mitigate.
