I currently host a dedicated server with The Planet in their H1 datacenter. I'm looking to expand a data service into Europe, specifically the UK. Rather than force the UK users to access a server here in the US, I'd like to find a European ISP that does dedicated server hosting and provides the equipment similar to The Planet.

Just a simple search on Google reveals tons of ISPs but I'm just not certain which to choose. It took me several weeks of research before I settled on Rack Shack / EV1 / ThePlanet when I started hosting back in '04. So I'm hoping to jumpstart that process and see if there are any recommendations from the community.

I've already contacted The Planet customer service and unfortunately they don't have a presence in Europe or a partner to recommend. So I'm turning to this community in hopes that someone has some experiences with UK ISPs that they'd care to share.

Unfortunately I don't know any dedicated providers outside of the U.S. but maybe some others do..?

Why it has to be UK?
I would rather host in Netherlands or in Germany than in UK.

OVH has good peering to EU not so great to USA.

Where? Hetzner in Germany? What is the netherlands' choice?

Hetzner is nice too, I have mention Netherlands because of good peering. They got 40-50ms across the europe and to Russia.
