Hi there,

Is there any news as to when end servers will be able to get a native IPv6 allocation ? need anyone to beta test this on the planet's network ? :-)

We'll be looking for beta customers in the next couple of months. I'll post something in the forums when we're ready.

So .. Its been a year now and still no updates ?

I'd really like to start getting my server IPv6 compliant before we start running out of ipv4 space (currently estimated to be 36 months away) and fixing any IPv6/IPv4 interoperation pitfalls BEFORE it becomes mandatory.

We've actually been running IPv6 to some customers for several months as part of a BETA. We'd put some things on hold based on some infrastructure changes that we need to make here. If you're in a datacenter in Dallas I can probably get you setup. Let me know. Houston should be ready in the coming few months.

In Feb, 2008 you said the same thing, infact, you indicated that Dallas had connectivity to it and Houston was coming in May/June 2008 - Its now been 15 months after the roll out to Houston was supposed to be completed and you suggested we wait a few months, and now you are asking us to wait another few ? will this latest 'few months' be another 15 or more ? I'd _really_ like to get my server ready for IPv6 _before_ we run out of v4 space, not do a last scramble and try and get things working on the 11th hour.

(also of note, the first contact I had from you was back in Sep, 2007 - 24 months ago when you said you'd get someone to look at it.. In December 2008 you said you were running some test servers with v6 and to get me to open a ticket - apparently legacy EV1 was not supported but the newer ones - which I assume mine was as I had it reinstalled and was told that I was no longer able to use the EV1 facilities - were capable..)

This is all a little disappointing seeing as the latest predictions expect us all to be fully v6 compliant in another couple of years.
