The first thing you will need is a Unique Fully Qualified Hostname such as server001.mydomain.com. With Helm you want to avoid having a Hostname that conflicts with any other service, so do not use mail.mydomain.com, webmail,mydomain.com or www.mydomain.com as this may cause later conflicts.

- Set the Unique Fully Qualified Hostname in DNS so that it points to the primary IP address of the server, such as:

server001.mydomain.com A 12.34.56.78

- Set the Unique Fully Qualified Hostname in Microsoft Windows.

Right click My Computer - Select Properties - Select the Computer Name tab - Click Change - In Computer Name put the host portion of the hostname of the computer such as mail or server01 - Click More - In Primary DNS suffix of this computer put the domain name portion of the hostname such as mydomain.com. Click OK and the computer will need to reboot for the changes to take effect.

- Check Helm Configuration Tool

Test the Helm Configuration Tool for Software Update, if it fails to connect then download and install the Updater Service Patch from www.webhostautomation.com

- Setup Helm Database Configuration

System Database - Server Name - Set hostname/Helm Example server001.mydomain.com/Helm
System Database - Server Name - Check Database Connection

- Setup Network Configuration in Helm Config Tool

If behind a NAT Firewall
Server Access List - Connection Information - External IP Address - Set the public IP address of the primary IP address for the server

Server Access List - Server Information - Server Name - Set Fully Qualified Hostname
Server Access List - Server Information - IP Address - Set the Primary IP address
Server Access List - Server Information - Password - Set Password
Server Access List - Server Information - Save Server

- Setup Control Panel Website in Helm Config Tool
Control Panel Website - Make sure Enable Control Panel Webstie is enabled
Control Panel Website - Website Domain Name - Set hostname - Example server001.mydomain.com
IP Address - AnyIP Address
Click OK

- Setup Mail Server

Email Settings - SMTP Settings - SMTP Server Address - Set hostname - Example server001.mydomain.com

- Credit Card Settings
Select a very long pass phrase of multiple password, be sure to save this some where not on the server.
