theplanet server comes with 5 ip addresses.

e.g let's say 12.12.12.10-12.12.12.14

when browsing the internet with the dedicated server, everyone on the www sees my ip 12.12.12.10

is there any way i can browse so that the www sees my ip as 12.12.12.12 ?
is there a setting in windows server 2003 i can change?

is it with netsh?
eth00
Not familiar with windows server, you could change the main IP but that might mess up some of the network stuff from TP.

If nothing else load a proxy server on the local server and have it only go out via a different IP.

Talk to TP about changing your main IP address.
As long as the IP still exists in the TCP/IP settings on the network card, I don't think it will be an issue because the IP address is still there.

Some applications support a flag that will specify outgoing traffic ip address.

Example (linux):
traceroute <ip> -s <from ip>

Will specify that you want to use <from ip> to run the traceroute, even if it isn't your main ip. The 'Default' traffic will always come from the 'first' ip address bound to your network interface card. Any 'Source' changing routes will need to be specified by the application you are using, not the system itself.

I would go with eth00's idea. A proxy would be easiest, and accomplish what you are looking for.

sweet.

that proxy idea worked.
