Full Version: Windows Firewall and IPAlert Monitoring

I have a Windows 2003 Server running Windows Firewall. To use IPAlert monitoring, I need to open up:

12.96.160.0/24 (12.96.160.*)
67.19.0.0/24 (67.19.0.*)
216.234.234.0/24 (216.234.234.*)
70.85.125.0/24 (70.85.125.*)
70.84.160.0/24 (70.84.160.*)
216.40.193.0/24 (216.40.193.*)
66.98.240.192/26
209.85.4.0/26
216.12.193.9

I understand that Windows Firewall won't let me open it up for specific IP's, so I used IPSec to handle that, but it's still not working. Am I missing something? Does Windows Firewall block traffic before IPSec can evaluate it? I'm still getting "Connection Refused" errors.

Use IPSEC instead of Windows firewall.
Here is a link to a site that has been posted in these forums in the past.
