Full Version: yum Repos for rhel5? Where?

I can not add any software without wading through a whole boatload of dependencies, as I am having to source the rpm files directly for things like MySQL, which is making life a lot harder than it should be.

I really hate Linux at setup time.

So I have manually added the dag wiers repo, and another, but that still does not help much.

Is there a Planet yum repo I can use? Despite being rhel5 I dont seem to have up2date installed, but I understand this is just a wrapper to yum anyway.

I just want the dependency nightmare I'm having right now to go away. :-(

Cheers, Mark.

If a 'yum repolist' isn't showing the RHEL 5 channels, open a ticket with support, and they should be able to re-register you to our Satellite systems. RHEL5 replaced up2date with yum, but has mostly the same/better feature set as it's predecessor.
