Why don't you have on your web page list of your data centers and ip per each data center which could be pinged?
I know people in US do not care about ping because for whole US ping is very low, but if we are not from USA that kind of information is very important.
So can somebody tell me how many there are data centers and in which states?
And what are their ips?
I think i'm not asking for some private information because other dedicated hosts offer that on their web page, list of data centers, speed test, ips and when ordering you can select one.
Thanks

All of the Planet's datacenters are in Texas. They have two datacenters in Houston and four in dallas, though one is not used for any customer servers as far as I know. The information they have posted on their website is a bit sparse now, but it's here

That is why i asked, on previous site there was much more information. OK so now i only need ips to check which data center has best pings.

They should all be within 10 ms I believe -- click on live chat and they will give you some ips to test.

I think they keep the IP's out of view so "bots" don't just start DoS'ing their servers.
I know it is easy to find an IP address, but it is much easier when it is shown in HTML code.
What would be a great idea is if they would include this type of info in ORBIT.
(Although, that would be a current customer feature).

http://www.theplanet.com/why-the-planet/network/The four in Dallas are in three physical buildings. All four are used for customer servers. There is an additional facility that has a data center designation internally that is really only used for internal things. We don't typically count that as a datacenter when we count things.
