Full Version: why would httpd-devel be in the rpm skiplist on rhel4?

Just curious if anyone knew the answer to this..
We have a rhel4 box with cpanel installed.
httpd-devel is an item we need as a dependency for one of the systems we want to install on this box, but it's in the RPM skiplist.
Any ideas why? I'm not aware of any issues or security risks flagged on this package.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Isn't it supposed to match your httpd version which is controlled by cpanel's easyapache apache config builder?
dcdigital72
No... we have a custom config not done with easyapache.
This one was my own stupidity...
the httpd-devel need was primarily for the aspx lib...which it turns out we also have a custom version of (hence the reason one of my own guys added the httpd-devel to the skip list ... but didn't document it or tell me...so I assumed it might have been a default from The Planet!)

Mystery solved!
