Hello i was like always interested to join the planet i have total 7 servers and now im really interested to migrate to the planet from ecatel and fdc and iweb, but everytime i talk to the planet sales person they never aggred on last deal on what we decided.means i dont understand if you cant keep one offer for atlist 1 week then its not too good
like i was interested in
Xeon 3210 - SATA (Quad Core Kentsfield)
and i saw offer of all three double down on this to for free
so after double down total deal would be like this
Xeon 3210 - SATA (Quad Core Kentsfield)
500 Gb hardisk
4 Gb ram
5 Tb bandwith
100 Mbps dedicated port
5 Ips
$169/mo
BUT HERE IS THE TWIST
today when i decided to sign up and did all steps to migrate my server from ecatel , sudenely sales agent said he will charge 47$ for all three upgrade ?
means i was just shocked.....i did verything i toob back up . my server management company prepared everything for bak up and i got this answer that they need 47$ more for all three upgrade :-(
one one side i was planning to bring all my business to theplanet and on other side these type of fluctuation in price and offer wont put a good imapct on new user :-(
can any body help me in this issue and can provide me in same rates as old offer
we will bring all our business here at the planet slowely,so for first server if you guys can again get me this deal in 169 USD
Thanks and looking for quick response and to order today

First, the promo that I've seen run quite frequently is double down where you get double down of your choice of bandwidth, ram, OR disk or where you can double all three for $47 extra. So what you saw today is the common promo I've seen a number of times.
Second, I think the reason they're "limited time" promotions is that they want to encourage people to act on them impulsively -- they want people to say "this is too good a deal to pass up, I'll order this new server today" even if they might not need it until the next month, or two months down the road. Otherwise the promos would be synonymous with everyday prices and wouldn't be limited time promos at all.
Agree that it can be frustrating to miss one. They do recur frequently though.

Plus the price of $169 for the 3210 is a deal of the week 25% off . You will also see can not be combined with other offers.
Ive never seen a double down all three for free. the double down for free deal is for one upgrade , disk , bandwidht or memory but not all three together. Its allways been $47 for all three
$169.00 for the 3210 is one heck of a deal with the standard config. Them offering you the double down for all three for $47 on top of that is even better. thats less than the cost of a standard upgrade to 4 gig from the standard 2 gig. And still way below the normal cost of the server .
The deals of the week and other promos are for a limited time whhile supplies last ype of thing. your best bet would have been to request a chat log of you conversation with sales so that you had everything in writing.
Or did like I did order a server get the price set and then the sales person put a hold on for three days while I made up my mind (which only took over night.
the 3210 at $169.00 is one super sweet deal and I would take it . I dont think that price will be that low for very much longer.
You need to get things in writing , you cant expect sales to remember every body that calls in or chats wanting to make a deal and then decides to sleep on it for a week or so.

As Jeff and dustoff mentioned, our promos are limited time offers, so after a deal expires, the promo codes associated with that deal are no longer usable (even to our sales team). We've run Double Down promotions where you can double one of the three components (HD, Bandwidth or RAM) for free OR you could double all three for $37 or $47 (depending on the cost of the server you ordered).
To my knowledge, we have never offered all three for free, so if you have email correspondence with our sales team, please be sure to forward that quote as you are trying to get your new server. I'm not sure how the math works out in your particular case, but with the steep discounts on the server itself in the current promotion, you can probably add RAM, HD and Bandwidth to get an equal or better deal on your server in the end.
Because the current server special offers such a significant discount, we cannot offer any additional promotions in conjunction with it.
