I got this message from cPanel on Monday
[ipcheck] Problems with dns setup on s1.houseoftech.com

I checked everything it mentioned, however I'm not sure what's supposed to be in /etc/resolv.conf.

All sites are functioning properly but email from external domains is not coming through and no return errors are being sent. Email can be sent and received from and to local domains. It's like the server is cut off from the internet concerning email traffic only.

It looks like a DNS routing issue but I'm not sure where to check and support seems to be backed up still.

I just checked the Exim queue and there are over 1000 messages. Attempting to deliver any message results in

== user@domain.com R=lookuphost defer (-1): host lookup did not complete

In my /etc/resolv.conf was

nameserver 207.218.192.38
nameserver 207.218.192.39

I switched the first to 216.234.234.30 and it seems to be resolving somewhat now.

what is the .30 IP address? Is that your main servers address? I am having the same issue and cannot find a solution.

Is it s1.houseoftech.com or s1.houseoftech.us? I'm able to resolve the latter, but the first doesn't resolve at all from multiple locations.
