Ok I understand this was a really tragic event for TP and their 1000s of customers like myself.... best of luck to all!

I need you guys to help me here, I have redirected my main www.domain.com to a temporary page .. now the main part of the site which are the forums (www.domain.com/forums) need to be redirected somehow.. so how can I go about doing this in namecheap.com ??? Is there a way? Please help me out here.

Wouldn't you just change the entire dns for the domain to your new server and do what you need to that temporary account? huh.gif

would of done that if i would of moved everything to new server, but i just got a 110mb account not a new server icon_sad.gif

Ack, ok. So is your forums section hosted or just parked with your registrar?
mrmiketr
it's hosted on theplanet right so i think there's no way of doing the redirect of /forums from the dns point.. that's what i read on WHT

thanks

Is there anything we need to do while they are resolving this issue at that HT1 datacenter, as far as our server DNS, domains, etc ?? Can't access the ServerCommand from here!

Do we just sit and wait till IP's start resolving ??

Thx's
Mike

I'm hoping someone can help me understand this, as I run my website, I'm not a web guru.
I'm on the old EV1 shared hosting.
My domain name is hosted with a separate domain hosting company and I use the NS5.EV1SERVERS.NET (&NS6) to resolve to my website.
I am not sure if the actual server that hosts my website is affected, but it can not be reached, nor can I access my email.
Is there a way that I can access these by changing the ns5/6 on my domain hosting company?
If so, what nameservers would I use?
And will this also allow me access email?
Or am I just out of luck until they get things back online?

Thanks

If your domains are pointed to the EV1 DNS then your site won't resolve until those servers are brought back up. The only other options is to repoint them to use your new host's DNS servers instead. You would need to contact your new provider as to what DNS server to use.
