We are planning some hardware maintenance on our forum system to improve its responsiveness and performance. During this maintenance, the forums will not be accessible, but we will have them back online (and faster than ever) as soon as possbile.

As soon as I get official confirmation from our Unix IT group, I will post the maintenance window with any more available details.

The forum server load dropped from ~15-20 to <1 ... The fix: clear out the spider/bot logs.

We're still keeping an eye on everything... Apparently, the fix indicated the problem but didn't completely resolve it.
