One of my cliets is having a strange email issue. Existing accounts have full functionality in email. However when I add a new account I cant send or fecth mail. When I go into Squirrel mail and try to compose/send I get this error...
Server replied: 451 Temporary local problem - please try later
Any idea what the issue/fix is?
Thanks

Hmmm, could it be a firewall issue?

from the error, I have to assume cPanel w/ Exim?
Does the log file tell you anything?
If the existing accounts work, but new ones don't...Something regarding account creation is likely messed up. Check the permissions on the directory the mail boxes are in. As well as that the newly created mail boxes actually exist.

I ran the fix permissions script. I am attempting to send via squirrel mail and get that error. I can log into any other acct on the server (that domain or any otehr) and it works fine. Let me go view a few things...

I got it fixed. After research it turned out that all mailboxes for the domain in question were having issues. Said domain was no longer listed in localdomains. As I recall this happened once before for this very same domain. I have no clue as to why it would not be there. Any of y'all ever hear of this happening and have a hint as to what causes it?

Yeah, I remember this fun little issue, but with httpd.conf.
In that case, it was a cPanel bug just over a year ago.
