I am trying to get my new installation of Urchin 6 into Datacenter Mode but do not seem to be able to. I have tried uninstaling and reinstalling but am unable too. I have also tried following steps similar to those for Urchin 5 to no avail. Any help would be apperciated.

Urchin is somewhat supported by The Planet. Have you sent a ticket in yet?

I have not sent in a ticket on this issue as yet since I am currently within my 90 day trail period and have not purchased Urchin 6 as yet.

I am currently evaluating this software against a couple others and am not happy with the premissions issue, with the non datacenter mode of this software. Since in the non datacenter mode it basically requires all real Users to be Super Admins and this will be unacceptable in my setting as I am sure it will be in most other settings.

Here's what I have tried. I have installed Urchin 6 though I am not adverse to uninstalling and reinstalling if necessary since I have not used anything as yet. I have tried to folow the steps outlined for Urchin 5 but 6 does not work the same.

Hmmm. Are you positive data center mode is supported in the 90 day trial?

No clue actually. However I am evaluating this suite for the University I work for and if I am not happy with the premissions I see, I can't reccommend this suite. It is by far the most powerful suite for the money of any web-metrics suite that I have seen (and in the last 6 months I have closely evaluated over 30), though due to security this premissions issue must be ironed out before I can move forward.

I didn't think 6 was an option here yet ???

Well here's an update.

1. Datacenter Mode is supported in the trial.

2. I have searched every single possible button within the Super-Admin console and found nothing that will enable switching to Datacenter Mode.

3. I have reviewed instructions to switch an existing installation of Urching 5 to Datacenter Mode and attempted to follow and adapt this to Urchin 6 to no avail.

4. I have done a complete uninstall and reinstall of Urchin 6 but seen no oppertunity to choose Datacenter Mode.

5. I have contacted 3 different "Google Partners" the name given to Googles' resellers of Urchin and found that none of them currently have the answer.

If anyone is makeing any progress in this I would greatly appericiate your input. Basically it appears that the "Partners" and the rest of the world are recieving this software at the same time with noone actually trained in the inns and outs of it at this time.
