In cortex..the max players you can set for HL2 is 16.

I have it set to 24 now...but the server keeps going to 16..I even tried stopping the server in cortex..create my own shortcut on the server with the +maxplayers 24 but it still goes to 16.

Is there something I'm missing?

Ya some override lock they put in Cortex, had the same issue with my original ET servers, they had them locked at 32 and no matter what I did I couldnt go over it, I put a ticket in to have the limit/cap removed and they did ( never did understand why they put the cap locks in ). Did we pass the "official" cortex end of support date yet? If not drop a ticket to have it uncapped.

Better yet maybe somebody from tech can find out where we can do it ourselves?
