I was just reading through http://blog.theplanet.com/ and I wondered if the Keg tap in the break room in Dallas was removed? Is there still ice cold brew in the refridgerator?
CornFused
As I recall, it was Shiner Bock.

Yes, this was taken out of production... It's still in the building however.

I haven't seen it lately, I thought it went down to Houston. I'll put in an inventory request for a full keg.

So just out of curiosity...

Were you actually allowed to have a beer while on the job??

Cause I think my boss would shoot me if I did that..lol

Angela Valentine didn't need beer. She was on her own Planet.

It was decommissioned shortly before I came around. I, personally, wouldn't have a problem with any techs having a beer if they could keep it under control... but you know what happens when you give someone an inch... they get drunk, unplug a few routers, and then drive their car into the side of one of the generators.

Horrible thoughts!!! lol

I'd love to be able to have a beer at work...but like you said, someone would go to far with it.

TP Network outage update:

It appears a drunk technician attempted to open his beer bottle on a core router. The beer spilt into the router itself effectively terminating all connections.

What's wrong with that, afterall, they are only fired up once a week?
thedude
Because that would be the week that the main power feed went down, and TP needed the generators....lol

Like Greg did? icon_razz.gif

We have beer-o-clock on a Friday at work. Beer fridge gets opened at midday, gradually emptied though the afternoon then refilled and locked on Monday ready for the next friday icon_smile.gif

But aren't the generators in the roof?!

Do you guys over there at The Planet have some secret car in development you're holding out on? ohmy.gif

No the generators are on the soutwest side of the builindg. You go onto the roof to smoke a joint, not drink a beer.
markcausa
Oh, gotcha. wink.gif

I believe there is a Sparkletts bottle skin company that makes Beer Keg skins. We should get one for the break rooms :-D

Yeah, we could do that and pretend we're drinking Corona or something.
