The problem is this:

I get a bunch of errors

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/webmesto/public_html/test/excel2.php:1) in /home/webmesto/public_html/test/excel2.php on line 49

the error there with the modify header information is on this section:

CODE
header("Content-Type: application/$file_type");
header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=database_dump.$file_ending");
header("Pragma: no-cache");
header("Expires: 0");

But I'm not sure whats wrong.

Would this be an issue with a security feature on the server?

Anyone have any ideas?? icon_smile.gif

This script is suppose to allow a user to export the contents of that table into excel or word format.

Got it....

There were funky characters in front of the <?php tag that didn't show up at all till I did did a "nano myfile.php" from a shell.

That's the thing about header() I hate.. if one character, even a space, gets sent before it's called, it freaks out.
