hello again i was wondering how would i go about running bf2 sandbox mod server? cant the files be uploaded? I have a ranked bf2 server running now with cortex. so what do i do?
eth00
I am not a game guy but I think with the ranked servers you cannot do mods such as that.
luggz
well then i can install a unranked bf2 server an just run it right?
eth00
Yes, but you would need a server that does not have any ranked servers
doc
You need SSH or remote desktop access depending on which OS you have. Install the dedicated server files, download the mod and drop the mod in the /mod folder. You will see regular bf2 in the folder for the stock game. To run it as a mod, you will need to specify it via the command line or with BF2cc.

Hope that helps.
luggz
the only folders i see are setting, pb, demos. So create a directory?
doc
Did you install a BF2 server?

You should see a mods folder in the main game directory.
luggz
nope its not there i even reinstalled it what if i just upload mod manger v1.4?

Man damn wth have i got to do this is such bs i have tryed every thing i know to do also the damn bf2cc is being over run by the cortex!!! i cant control any thing in the bf2cc wtf! i give up f*** it sorry im very pissed !!
doc
I see now. You are looking at the files in Cortex. Like I said in my first post, you need Remote Desktop or SSH access to build a unranked BF2 mod server.

Also Cortex will always overwrite any changes done in BF2cc. Use Cortex to setup your server's settings, not BF2cc.
luggz
So go to the files using like smart ftp? idk what SSH is.
doc
If you have a ranked, Windows, Cortex server you don't have remote desktop and will not be able to create a BF2 mod server.
