I have a very basic question, What is the command to transfer a file (Plesk Backup file) to the NAS system via FTP from my server to the NAS backup solution. I have been using rsync to an offsite backup but it stopped working.

Thank you for your help,
Bill

Hi Bill,

If you're using the regular ftp client in linux or windows, you can use the 'put' command to upload a file, or mput command for multiple files.

I am getting this error when I try to use put, what could I be doing wrong

ftp> put file
local: file remote: file
200 PORT command successful
150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for file
451 Transfer aborted. Input/output error

Thank you,
Bill

Is there actually a file named "file"? Also can you get a directory listing, or does that give you an IO error too?

I can get a directory listing, it looks like it is transferring about 2GB then I get the error. The file size is about 3.3GB. The file name is bk1 and is a full backup. I did use the command "put bk1".

Thank you,
Bill
