I've got a question, probably ridiculously simple for someone here to solve, but this isn't my strong suit so I need the help.

Our club runs an unranked, match server, for games between our members and other clans. I want our team leaders/admins to be able to change maps for the server for different matches, without it automatically advancing to the next map on the list

I'm hoping I've got the settings correct. I set "sv.roundsPerMap" to 0.

Is that correct?

Will that allow our admins to have access to all the maps, but only have one map in rotation at a time?

I personally don't see how that setting would do what you are thinking.

It worth trying to see what happens, but the rounds merely does what it says. Controls how many rounds are played per map. Setting it to zer might screw it up, or some default value might kick in.

I would give your people moderator ability ingame through BF2CC and make sure you enable the permissions to change the map.

Also remember this:

QUOTE
Any configuration or map rotation changes that you make in BF2CC will not be reflected in Cortex, and will not be saved to the configuration file(s).
Also, any changes made in Cortex will override any previous changes made via BF2CC.

Just making sure you know that Cortex and BF2CC don't get along too well.

Yeah, I know about that and thats whats causing trouble. BF2CC and Cortex don't seem to like to play nice together.

What I basically need is s setup that allows ONE map to be played from the entire map list, but that can be changed thru BF2CC to another map at any time.

I'm not sure what you're getting at but let me suggest this:
  1. Put every map into your rotation with rounds per map set to a high number (99?). This will allow you to stay on the current map for some time.
  2. Set your admins up in a group with access only to control the maplist (Change/Set Next Map)
  3. Register your admins' keyhashes for the In-Game Admin (IGA)
  4. Have your admins use the IGA map controls (!setnext, !change, !runnext, !restart)

The IGA map controls accept map name or map "number in the rotation". The limitation on using map name is you can only have a map appear once in your rotation. If it appears more than once (say the 16 and 32 player versions), the IGA won't know which one you mean.

So if you want to run all maps at 16 players (OR 32 OR 64), you can put each one in the rotation once and control by name. If you want all maps at all sizes to be available, you'll have to make a cheat-sheet with rotation positions. If that's the way you go, remember the first map is map #0, not #1.

One nice thing about the IGA is your admins don't have to use the BF2CC console. This is a big plus for 2142 admins since it doesn't like to be alt-tabbed.
