Will we have Quake Wars for cortex tomorrow?

They will add it as soon as they add Armed Assault, Team Fortress 2, Fortress Forever, World in Conflict and Medal of Honor Airborne.

I wouldnt count on it, they had a jump on getting it online if they had wanted to seeing as though it was released in Europe on Friday 9/28 and the server files including Linux were available.

My servers are up.

With the games full release I have people itching for a server, and also my curiosity as a server operator is peaking.

I would sure like to see this added, and I fully understand the backlog, and employee situations.

Doc: How are they running? Usage, max slots?, good config or not? spill some beans!

Server is empty so can't tell you much as far as performance. Max slots is 24. They have a server launcher if you want to run it on the desktop that takes the guess work out of starting up the server.

We have a few members that would like to give this game a whirl. So add me to the list of those wanting to see this supported by Cortex.

Technically it would not be hard for them to add it since it runs on the Doom 3 game engine and they had Doom 3 in Cortex at one time.

So are mine, but not really the point of this thread in the CORTEX area, in the past, major games like these were online day 1.

Its just totally crazy. Not added, no post about it from I365 or nothing. Not even a answer from any staff here on this post and its out. Wth could be going on, whats the point of having a forum. lol

well, this is exactly the reason why Oct 8th is my last day here. TP, in my opinion, does not want to support cortex anylonger. I have switched to another host who not only offers the ranked servers, 2142, etqw, etc, but also gives me full remote desktop access

Please though let us know how your new experience goes, but we don't wanna get caught when the cat comes out of the bag.

I think we will be switching also, it saddens me as we have always liked I365 and been happy with the performance of our servers. We have been paying $600+ a month, anticipating Quake Wars and Crysis. Now the time has come and we can't even host them. So tomorrow we will be ordering our new server from elsewhere.

Sorry for this next question, I haven't really followed QW:ET at all. Can someone tell me if I need a ranked box to run this game?

You can run it unranked if you want via remote desktop.

OK, I have a ranked box for BF2 so I have to wait on TP to get it set up via Cortex.
