What is the RCON port on BF2142? A while back the ports were all changed for 2142 in Cortex.

I want to try going without the BF2CC Deamon Plugin installed and just do admining from the RCON. I think the plugin might be causing our instance to crash.

Thanks.

That I remember, cortex uses port 5711 for BF2142 rcon and 5721 for Daemon. See if that works for you.

Nope, doesn't work. I even specified the IP and Port in the modmanager.con file along with the password, and it can not connect in RCon mode. Also, the server config has the sv.adminscripts set to "modmanager". This is pretty much all the required settings that need to be made aren't they?

I did learn that you at least need to have the plugin installed to have the modmanager scripts, so I have the plugin installed but not activated. I did try it activated and it still doesn't work in RCon mode.

I don't know, but I just can't get it to connect. I also have never been able to use PB Webmin either since it won't connect either.

Did you configure the ip, port and password in the pbsv.cfg file?

For the rcon issue, I just checked my BF2142cc that I still have configured to our clan's old 2142 server and I have the deamon listed as 5721. The rcon port was most likely 5711. If you remember for BF2, cortex used 4711 for rcon and 4721 for daemon. What port are entering to log into the deamon?

The PBWebAdmin, yea, I did all the settings for that.

As for the RCON, it is set in the modmanager.con file with mm_rcon.rconPort 4711 and I have the IP bound to the server IP.

I have tried the 5711,12,21,22 etc also.

EDIT: I think the modmanager scripts are not working when the BF2CC Deamon is not activated. I issued the mm_rcon.rconPort 4711 command on the RCON in Cortex and got: Unknown object or method!.

I am going to attemp a manual upload of the modmanager scripts on a second test server.
