Hi, trying to renew ssl cert (https://ssl.theplanet.com/?SslType=RapidSSL), but get the following error after I enter all my details in,

Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security certificate.
For more information, see "Certificate Errors" in Internet Explorer Help.

When I click "allowed block content" in the error bar at the top of the screen, I am taken back to a blank renewal form, can you advise. I tried putting in my details again, but it just repeats itself.

Using Windows XP with IE7, can you advise.

Hi almat-computers.co.uk!

I have sent your error/issue over to our SSL Group and Manager for that group asking for their assistance in this matter. If you do not hear from them within the next 8 hours, please let me know.

I believe they will be able to resolve your issue quickly and effectively.

When I signup, I enter all my details in and then click on the purchase button. (https://ssl.theplanet.com/?SslType=RapidSSL)

Then, I get the following, see screenshot, when I click on the "display blocked content" I am taken back to https://ssl.theplanet.com/?SslType=RapidSSL

I have done this about 5 times now and I hope this is not charging my card each time.

I'm sorry about the late reply to this post...

That is an error that has been identified and reported to the development group since we had correspondence yesterday via email. It has also been qued to fix/update as a larger group of objectives, so the error will be fixed in a reasonable amount of time, though I am not able to give any exact time frames.

Currently all research appears to suggest that you have not been charged in anyway.

As for the current order, we have two options available for you (and any other customers, conditionally) who encounter the same problem.

Option 1:
**This option is only viable if you currently have a server account with us, controlled either through the legacy server command portal or through Orbit.**
Presuming you have an account, I can allow you to order through Orbit. That option will give the primary benefit of going around the issue that you are encountering while also allowing you to gain some further control over submitting certificate signing requests (you can resubmit, where through the website you would, in most cases, have to reorder if you had the same problem).

Option 2:
My team can order for you manually, preferably post charge (which would not be the scenario in this case). In truth we like to avoid this option as it leaves something to be desired in the way of logging, but it remains an option for those who do not have server accounts and are encountering issues.

My team will look to default you to Option 1. I have sent an email to you detailing some of this information and while we can't actually fix the root issue, we can certainly provide you with the means to make the purchase in a timely manner.

Thanks!

Im having problems trying to renew my certificate as well. I have tried two different credit cards, that i know to be working on other sites, but both are just declined after the 3D secure checks and i am returned to a blank payment form again!! I know from experience on my own site that this new 3D secure system is totally unreliable so please put in place the option to skip this part of the process. If this keeps happening i will just take my business elsewhere because time is running out before my certificate expires.

I would appreciate it if someone from Planet would help me sort this problem out.

Thanks

Hi again,

Sending me a form in which to fill in my credit card details is not the solution i was looking for! I have tried again on your site using another card and this time was able to complete the 3D secure section and even received an email from my bank to inform me that my registration into the scheme was successful. However, when i tried to complete the purchase i had the same error as the original poster, ie. The content of the page was blocked due to certificate errors. On clicking 'allow blocked content' i was once again taken to a blank form! Can somebody please confirm whether or not my card has been charged for this transaction?

Hi Sudakoma,

I'm sorry to hear that the solution that the SSL Team sent you was not sufficient in solving your problem and that you had to use another credit card. I have sent them another e-mail to let them know that you have encountered another issue to see if they can help you. Please let me know if there are any other issues or concerns.

Kind regards,
