Full Version: How can I access my files on a new slave drive

I had 2 servers, 1 was old and it died, i moved the old hardrive with the html files and Mysql dbs I need to the new working server but how on earth can I :

1. View the slave drive contents to know what to move to new hardrive

2. How to copy/move the files ( I need to know the exact command to type to get a file from slave drive /dev/hdd to my working /dev/hdc.

The hardrive is only available to me for a day or so..... please anyone that can assist I will love you for it!

You need to mount the added hdb (ide) or sdb (scsi/sata) (or c if third drive, etc.) as /backup or /olddrive

Anyway you could explain this command for me briefly. I dont have money to pay a tech or much time to learn but if you tell me the exat commands I will learn to mount the drive as backup so I can get to see and move these files before I lose my business sites.
