We run a GSP and when we recieve a new order we set them up manually because there isn't currently a plugin for our billing system that we like. We basically have 3 packages. 66 tickrate 250FPS pub, 100 tickrate 500FPS private, or 300FPS 100 tickrate private. We set up the seerver, but than we have to go through and adjust rates and everything manually. It would be great if you could set server presets(like server type) in some form or something. Than I could just select the type of server, username, and name for it and I'm done. What do you think?

Kevin once went over an idea like this.

Whereby when you were installing a new instance you could pick a set of configs right when you were adding it. This would be what you are suggestiong Kenny.

I would agree that for GSP's and adding instances quickly this feature could help. icon_mrgreen.gif

Yeah, it would be an awesome feature to have. I don't think it would be THAT hard to implement. Just basicly let admins make profiles for each game with configs pre-set.
I really want to use Cortex for my GSP because of how easy it is for newbies and first time server renters because of the way the config page is set up. They see all the options and go, but it's little things like not having profiles and more options suited for a GSP that almost make me want togo buy TCAdmin.

Ideas for a feature like this have already been thought through, and the best implementation will be some re-working of some fairly decent sized chunks of Cortex. This isn't saying it won't be done, but I am saying I need some time to develop the fabled Cortex 2 update. I'm working on getting a person or two added to the team to get this in motion faster.

In the meantime, I plan to dish out some new features to everyone for input to be accepted from all. I think I may also begin looking for some beta testers for the complete set of features.

I may introduce configuration sets like this as one of those features release to all for input.
