Full Version: Need to change root@mihost.com to anyuser@myhost.com

Please, needs help with this, because I don't remember about this, and I don't remember where I saved my notes.

When system send's emails, or when I use shell scripts that send's emails, ever appears as a sender the root. ie. root@myhost.com. I need to hide the root, replace it with something like anyuser@myhost.com.

1. su -
2. you should be in /root
3. create a file called .forward
type this into it:
root:youremail@yourdomain.com

4. chmod 0755 .forward

That sould work as far as I know......... biggrin.gif
