Just a small question, ET quake wars is on the brink of coming out very,very soooon me and most of the bf2 league teams i know are also moving too this game,will you be adding this to cortex?If so when?

Quake wars doesn't ship with any form of VOIP in-game, doesn't have persistent ranks or abilities (you have to earn them every time you play during the "campaigns" and they get reset every 3-4 maps). We'll probably give it a shot.....but it's just too bad the Quake guys spent so much time trying to be different, rather than realizing the BF series did it right, and there's nothing wrong with making a BF2/2142 clone, but in the Quake universe, and with Quake engine responsiveness and graphics.

......Just like Doom III, this game will fade. Too bad.

If EA would hurry and release Spore, all games will fade cause everyone will be too busy playing that

So far the beta has been incredibly fun. I've never been a big fan of unlocks. It places a greater value on hours spent playing rather than reflexes and strategy. If they simply copied BF2, it would just be another game I do not play.

You say they should have made it like bf2? hahaha why man is this not the whole point of a new game,they tried to vamp bf2 with all the rubbish expansions and then too finish it off brought out 2142 which in my eyes was a complete and utter pile of sh%*e!! lol

Bf2 is still a top game,me and my team were 5th in the bf2pro 5v5 league and also held top 20 in the ladder for nearly a year,but now we are just totaly sick of the same routines time and time again,with this game it will bring teams closer together,i do not know if you know the match aspect side of things but for a league playing clan this will PWN!!

Ya when I think of the Battlefield series, the first thought that comes to mind is.........them doing it right..

They did in the way they made the game,but ea servers sux ballz and always have,they always get hacked,or are down for some stupid reasons and wow the patches...They must bring out a million patches for there games and they still dont get it right!

So I understand that Quake Wars will be in cortex when it come out. Will it be ranked or unranked in Cortex?

Hopefully ranked it would be pointless just to release an unranked instance.Unranked are only used for matches and scrims so i can imagine...well hope it will be ranked

I have to think if this ranking crap continues that the cost will drive people to unranked servers. There is a difference between ETQW's ranking system vs EA's so hopefully the difference is enough to draw people away from the over priced ranked servers.

Screw the ranked BS. Just release the game.

'Ranking' for QW is an unfortunate term. If people are expecting BF2x type rankings, they will either be very disappointed or extremely happy.

ranks mean nothin at the end of the day as it comes down to what skillz you actualy have not what medals you have got,but ranked servers is what most people want especialy when a new game like this comes out,i have beta tested quake wars and im not that impressed it looks like a kinda counter strike on steriods...Im a bf2 clan leader and i would say bf2 is still better then it but who knows i might get use too it..
