Full Version: Multiple O/S's on my server
The Planet Forums > System Administration > Other
JPQ
Hello. I'm new to GNU Linux and BSD derivatives. I'm learning things daily. I currently rent a server from The Planet as a "playground" if you may call it, just for me to learn and play with different O/S technologies.

I have successfully setup my CentOS basics, installed nx and freenx on it, and have it running.

I have decided that I wish to install 3 different O/S's on my server and was wondering how I could go about installing the following:

Primary Partition:

Debian (ETCH Stable)

Extended Partition:

FreeBSD 6.2 Stable

Windows 2003 Server Standard R2

As stated previously, I'm totally new to this. I was wondering if there was someway that I could set up my server myself to have these three O/S's, with the ability to give me the choice to boot in the one I choose.

If anyone has any ideas for accomplishing this task, those ideas would be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Take a look into vmware.

I don't know if it supports debian so you may have to install a different OS as the primary OS from which you run the others.
