Full Version: Fantastico Issue

Since Installing Fantastico on my cPanel box, when I log into WHM the default page (on the right/main screen) is the fantastico panel rather than the main menu page. Any idea how to reset this?
markcausa
Did you try /scripts/upcp yet? Maybe that will rewrite the damaged file(s)?
Aerosmith
Yeah tried that and it didnt work. Here is a strange thing... I log into WHM and initially the main frame has the fantastico page. If I simply hit the refresh button on IE, the standard main WHM page comes up in the main frame. I've cleared cache and all the 'normal' stuff I can think of. Seems kind of bizarre to me. Then again it all could be just me being a DFU.

Wow. That's gotta be one of the weirdest cpanel problems I've ever heard of!

Well the first time I set up fantastico it did that and I got the invalid license file error after updating the host name. When I had tech fix the license it cleared up this issue as well. Had to get the new HDD because of the bad blocks and had the same issue come up when I installed, but this time the license fix didnt fix the other issue... I be stumped!

OK I got a fix to this. If I log into WHM using the IP type URL I get the situation described above. If I use the hostname type URL I get the 'normal' results.

That sounds pretty strange, I don't think I have ever encountered that.

An additional note to what mark posted, if your trying to fix possibly damaged files, you would need to use "/scripts/upcp --force", rather than just /scripts/upcp.

If you have a ticket in regarding it, can you post the ticket number?
Aerosmith
I didnt open a ticket. Not that big of an issue. One of the things I did do to try to resolve this was switch from STABLE to RELEASE knowing that would take me to WHM/cPanel 11.x (and thinking that if it were a cp issue THAT woudl fix it), but there was no change (other than the upgrade to 11.x). If you WANT to check it out and see if you can figure ou what is going on you are more than welsome. Let me know and I'll give you the relevant info.
