Full Version: Exim was down
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > cPanel/WHM
doc
My server is set for updates everyday and when I woke up today my Exim server was not delivering emails. They were just sitting in the mail queue. My server's management company did some trouble shooting but could not get exim to function properly. As a last resort I just forced another update and it updated Exim again. Now it works.

Did anyone else get bad exim update last night or did my junk just break by itself?

Apparently I was not the only one -> http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=67521

We had some problems with exim on a recent cpanel update as well, although that was about 2 weeks ago. We had to restore back to 10 stable before correcting the issue, and have since held off on some of the 11x updates.

I had my updates set as CURRENT but backed it down to RELEASE. I still need to get this issue resolved, using the File Manager to upload files is annoying. I tried changing to proFTP and no dice, so I went back to pureFTP and still no dice. Just times out at the LIST command. I also tried 2 different FTP clients.

Thanks for the help. I fixed the FTP issue the old, fasion, Windows way. I restarted the server and now it works. Lost my >200 day uptime in the process. icon_sad.gif
