I keep getting this error on one of the sites on my server, any idea what causes it or how to fix it?

Well, you really need to provide more information. What script is it, what is it trying to do, etc.. I would just check that you dont have any firewalls as well. Past that we need more information to be able to make suggestions.

Hi Gary, I am getting the same error. It seems to strike every time I try a fsockopen on a port other than 80. The script usually timeouts with error, "couldn't connect to host". CURL yields the same errormsg. Any advice?

Sounds like firewall might be activated or the DNS is not working inside now.

Hard to tell exactly the error without login to the box.

This is just opening for reading-in on another server, not writing-in on the same server.. Would firewall ports still be an issue?

Where should I look for firewall info on an CentOS/cPanel server?
